Health in my region

kids-hpNorthern Queensland Primary Health Network (NQPHN) is working to make health better for all people in North Queensland. We have a focus on improving health for populations that are most at risk, such as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and older Australians. We are actively engaging people in communities through our Community Advisory Groups and we also welcome feedback on health services and issues.

It was a pleasure working in collaboration with Gurriny Yealamucka Health Service Aboriginal Corporation and CheckUP Australia on this wonderful project, bringing life-changing surgery to 16 children from Yarrabah. Dr Suki, his team, and all involved have done an amazing job!

NQPHN SCHOLARSHIPS (CLOSING SOON) | NQPHN, through its health promotion program, is offering four scholarships to nurses working in general practice in the NQPHN region to undertake the HeartFoundation Australia Health Professional Ambassador Program.

The Health Professional Ambassador Program (HPAP) is open to health professionals who wish to update their knowledge and skills, and develop the confidence to improve cardiovascular health outcomes in their workplace.

Applications are invited from practice nurses (registered and enrolled) working in general practices in the NQPHN region.
